Winemaker: Jean- Louis Mourre

Key Notes: The Mourre family has been producing wine since 1962.  Jean-Louis took over in 1995.  He has thrived in making fantastic wines, while being extremely conscious of the environment as most of his farming is certified organic.  Having a background in geology really helped him consider the sedimentary soils, flora, and climate in his wine making to make consistent quality each vintage.

Key Notes: The Amadieu family settled in Gigondas in 1929.  Pierre Amadieu, grandfather of the current winemaker, whose name is also Pierre, started the business with a small estate in Gigondas.  In 1954, he had the opportunity to buy 280 acres that was not planted with vines.  He gradually turned it into a vineyard.  Pierre Amadieu is known as a leading AOC Gigondas producer in both quality and quantity

Key Notes: Since 1513, when Pierre-Etienne first established this long and prestigious line of winemakers, every generation has renewed the family's commitment to the art of fine wine making.  Over the centuries, generations of Mellots have handed down their knowledge and expertise, enhancing and developing the family legacy. Currently Catherine Mellot is continuing to pursue this innovative approach.  Today, the Joseph Mellot estate cultivates over 100 hectares, enabling them to offer a full range of wines from the Centre-Loire appellations. They are currently the only producer of wines from all the appellations of Centre-Loire.

Key Notes: The Domaine Juliette Avril Estate is a family-run estate.  In 1988 Marie Lucile Brun took over managment of the estate, succeeding her mother, Juliette Avril.  Her son, Stephan Brun joined in 2000 to head the estates commerical, admin and viticulture departments.  The roots run long and deep. The estate consists of 38 hectares and half of the vines are more than 50 years old. As first Consuls of Chateanuef-du-Pape, the Avril family has cultivated centures of winegrowing and Provencal tradition.

Region: Bordeaux

Key Notes: Hermann Cruse began his venture of acquiring wine estates by buying Chateau Laujac in 1852.  At the time the vineyard covered 100 hectares, between Laujac and Laffitte.  The Cruse family then extended the Laujac vineyard to reach 140 hectares in 1890. When Bernard Cruse took over in 1957 he was only left with 8 hectares of vines due to phylloxera, wars and frosts.  He undertook major renovations, and modernization of the buildings and tools.  After 55 vintages this passionate winemaker passed the managment of the estate to his daughter Vanessa and son-in-law Rene-Phileppe Duboscq in 2012.  The vineyard no spread over 60 hectares.  This new generation has made large investments in the vineyards and in the winery in order to raise quality levels and enable the continuation of the vineyard reconstruction while respecting the environment

Region: Loire Valley

Key Notes: This family estate has been around for four generations, and before that a resting home for the missionaries of Saint Clement's community.  in 1945, Constant Huchet took over the vineyard of 6 hectares.  He formed the last plantings of young vines until he was 86 years old, and today still continues to check on their work with his almost daily tastings.  Yves, his son joined in 1971 and in 2001 his grandson and current owner Jeremie took over.  He has also partnered with Jeremie Mourat, a wine grower in the southern Loire and together created 4 cuvees in Muscadet.  They share the same passion for great white wines of Loire and a vision which they hope is modern and respectful to their lands.

Region: Beaujolais/Burgundy

Key Notes: This family estate has been in the family for two generations.  Michel and Robert took over the estate from their father who left a great legacy and taught them how to make fantastic wines while respecting nature.  Together they invested in their roots and bought their first 4 acres of vines in Brouilly.  They the reconstruct the vineyard from a few of their old family plots in Cogny, on clay-limestone, located under the castle of Montmelas.  All of their young vines are under organic since 2007 and the old vines are cultivated sustainable.

Region: Beaujolais

Key Notes: Coming from a family of four children, Lucien Lardy was the only one to choose wine making as his profession.  His father left him a wonderful legacy that he would honor and preserve.  He vinifies each of his plots separately in order to manage the expression of all his lands.  This enables him to create complex and generous wines that display the characteristics of its terroir.

Key Notes: For 25 years Pascal has been producing red and white wines from Maconnais and Beaujolais.  Being from the area he wanted to stay close to his roots.  He is very eco-friendly and has a vast understanding of the balance between the nature and wine.

Region: Rhone Valley

Key Notes: Starting off with 1.5 hectares of vines in 2001 and now having 15 , Emmanuel has made it a point of separating out the production from each land parcel for wine making to keep the emphasis on each terrain's subtlety and live expression. His ideal is to strike a perfect balance, requiring the utmost care during grape harvest.

Key Notes: This vineyard of 15 Ha is located in the town of Soturac.  Its south-facing terroir is composed of gravel-siliceous clay dating from ancient quaternary.  Cellar was renovated in the 1980s and hosts a production of 800 hl per vintage. The two brothers, Pierre and Sebastien work on a unique terroir of the best clay terraces of the vineyard.

Key Notes: In 1951 Dr. Jacques Chauveau bought a simple farm that his son Gerard inherited in 1968 and decided to create a modern, functional wine growing estate and planted his first vines in 1969.  He partnered with his son, David in 1995 who fully took over from 1998 to present with his mother Marie-Claude.

Key Notes:  The Dubard Family is for more than 30 years, the most famous producers of refreshing and reasonably priced wines in South-West France. The family members offer differing personalities of graduate oenologists, wine makers and viticulturists who together make up a dynamic and passionate team that has been renowned in the Bergerac wine region for decades. Being receptive to their terroir, combining common sense and long experience with ceaseless wine-making and viticulture: these are the founding principles on which the family has relied in their exceptionnel cuvées. They are also ongoing on the environmental label "HVE"

Winemaker: Thierry and Jennifer Fluteau

Key Notes:  Champagne Fluteau, established in 1935, is one of the oldest family owned and operated wineries in the Aube region of Champagne making estate grown and produced champagnes. Now being run by Thierry and Jennifer Fluteau, representing the fourth generation of the family, whom together with their son, Jeremy, share a desire to make premium, hand crafted champagnes that reflect the unique soils and climate of their Cote de Bars property. Emphasis is placed on quality, combining the traditional know-how inherited from their ancestors with modern techniques, and an unwavering commitment to the pursuit of excellence and sustainability, both in the vineyards and in the cellars. 

Winemaker: Michel and Renza Rosier

Region: Languedoc

Key Notes:  Michel and Renza Rosier founded this estate in 1982.  For 32 years Michel has been in charge of the vineyard, cellar and production of the first Brut in the world.  His son Nicolas joined in 2010 helping his father manage operations. Their first cuvee was created in 1983 and produced 600 bottles.  The following year it increased to 6000 bottles.  They are now producing 650,000 bottles of Blanquette de Limoux and Cremant de Limoux in a special designed modern 'Chai', a wine production plant and storehouse that has recently established a presence outside of France in sixteen countries around the world.

Key Notes:  : Located in Arsac, at the gates of Margaux appelation, Lucien Lurton & Fils was established in 1993 by the ten children of Lucien Lurton. The company is now one of the leading negociant in Bordeaux. They are also proud owner of Chateaux such as Château Climens, Château Bouscaut, Château Barat, Château Durfort Vivens, Château Haut Bages Liberal and so on. They have also a strong partnership with wineries such as Château Bordeneuve, Château Mazeris and many other.
